  2. Divide the dough into 12-15 equal pieces, about 1 tablespoon each. Roll each piece into a smooth ball. Do the same for the red bean paste, dividing it into 12-15 smaller balls.
  3. Take one dough ball and flatten it into a disc. Place one red bean paste ball in the center. Carefully wrap the dough around the filling, pinching the seams to seal completely. Roll gently between your palms to form a smooth ball.
  4. Place the white sesame seeds in a shallow dish. Roll each filled dough ball in the sesame seeds, pressing gently to ensure an even and thorough coating. Set aside on a baking sheet.
  5. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pot or wok over medium heat to 325-350°F (160-175°C). To test, drop a small piece of dough; it should sizzle gently and float to the surface within a few seconds.
