Method

Step-by-step
  1. In a bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, lemon juice, kasuri methi, and salt. Mix well to form the paneer tikka marinade.
  2. Add the paneer cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 30 minutes for deeper flavor.
  3. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.
  4. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated paneer and cook for 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally, until lightly browned on all sides. Remove from pan and set aside.
  5. In the same pan, add the remaining 1 tbsp oil (if needed) and sauté the sliced red onion and green bell pepper for 3-4 minutes until slightly softened but still crisp. Set aside.
  6. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness and shape. Carefully transfer it to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a preheated pizza stone.
  7. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  8. Arrange the cooked paneer tikka, sautéed onions, and bell peppers evenly over the cheese. Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  9. Bake for 12-18 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Cooking time may vary based on your oven and dough thickness.
  10. Remove the pizza from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then garnish with fresh cilantro before slicing and serving hot.

Storage & Freezer Guide

Make it last
Refrigerator 3-4 days

Store leftover slices in an airtight container once completely cooled. Reheat gently.

Freezer Up to 1 month

Wrap individual slices tightly in plastic wrap, then aluminum foil. Freeze on a flat surface. Thaw overnight in the fridge before reheating.

Reheat Stovetop/Oven

For best results, reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5-10 minutes, or in a dry pan on the stovetop over medium heat until crust is crispy and cheese is melted.

Chef’s Corner

  • For an extra smoky flavor, char the marinated paneer directly over an open flame or under a broiler for a minute before adding to the pizza.
  • Don’t overload the pizza with toppings; a balanced amount ensures even cooking and prevents a soggy crust.
  • Experiment with different cheeses! A blend of mozzarella and a sprinkle of crumbled feta or goat cheese can add another layer of flavor.
